Scricciolo Jewelry Casket

Czech-born designer Hans Von Klier studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm – which inherited the prewar modernist project pioneered at the Bauhaus – before moving to Milan, where he collaborated with the great Ettore Sottsass. Together the two men collaborated on designs for Olivetti (including the Praxix 48 typewriter). Sottsass’s influence is evident in this small jewelry casket, entitled Scricciolo (“Wren”) and designed for the producer Panula Agliana.
