When and where is the fair?

The inaugural edition of OBJECT & THING will be held May 3-5 at 99 Scott in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets are available for purchase object-thing.com


How do I get there?

The inaugural OBJECT & THING event will be held at 99 Scott Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237.  The entrance is on Randolph Street.


When is the next OBJECT & THING fair?

At this time, we do not have a second edition finalized.  Please sign up for our emails to receive updates and be the first to know about upcoming events.


What is your return policy?

All items are sold in as is condition and cannot be returned.  All sales are final sale. There are no exceptions.


How do you ship my online order or in fair purchase?

Shipping methods are determined by size, type, fragility, weight and other specific characteristics.  Shipping costs are calculated based on carrier rates, delivery distance and packing complexity. All shipped orders will be insured.


We currently offer three shipping methods:

  1. Insured UPS shipping in the US and abroad
  2. White glove art shipping services
  3. Post-fair pick up on May 6 at 99 Scott from 10am - 6pm EDT.  If the buyer will not be present for pick, we require that you contact us in advance of the pick up with your authorized representatives name and contact details.  If a buyer or buyer’s representative does not arrive by 6 pm, the works will be sent to Atelier 4 and will require their shipment.

Some pieces are limited to white glove service or pick-up on May 6. When shopping, the SHIPPING & RETURNS section on the product page will provide more information, and all eligible shipping options will appear for your order at checkout.  If an option does not appear, it is because the items in your order are restricted.


Orders will not ship until the fair has closed.

For orders eligible for UPS Ground shipping, orders will be delivered within 1-6 business days following the close of the fair. For white glove service, our distributors will reach out for further information and shipping updates.  Shipping rates will vary according to package size, weight, and final destination. A shipping confirmation will be emailed through our website, object-thing.com, with tracking details.


All orders will require a signature upon delivery.


Do you ship internationally?

Both our UPS shipping and our white glove art shipping services allow for international shipping.  

For International orders shipped by UPS Worldwide Saver, UPS will provide customs clearance and door-to-door delivery. When shipped, orders will be delivered within 1-3 business days.  All orders will require a signature upon delivery.


Shipping rates will vary according to package size, weight and final destination. Duties and import taxes are determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination country. Payment of any duties and import taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery.


What is the White Glove Shipping Service?

Our white glove service is the premier art shipping option. Our partners at Atelier 4 will develop a highly customized shipping plan and packaging for each unique order and item.  This will include the building of a custom crate, if required, an optimized route of transportation, and installation if that is wanted. Representatives from Atelier 4 will reach out to customers directly to provide a detailed plan and schedule, as well as to collect shipping costs.  Please note, shipping costs for this method will not be calculated at checkout on our website.  The total cost will be calculated and communicated at a later date.


How does pick-up work for orders?

Pick-up will be available solely on Monday, May 6, at 99 Scott from 10 am - 6 pm EDT.  If the buyer will not be present for pick-up, we require that you contact us in advance of the pick-up with your authorized representative’s name and contact details. If a buyer or buyer’s representative does not arrive by 6 pm, the works will be sent to Atelier 4 and will require their shipment.


What if my credit card is not working at checkout?

We suggest that you troubleshoot by reviewing your billing zip code, expiration date, and CVV.  The CVV is a three-digit number printed to the right of the signature space on the back of the card. On American Express cards, it is the four-digit code located on the front of the card.  If all of those are correct we recommend that you contact your bank or credit card company to learn more about their fraud alert policies and daily withdrawal allowances. Should you continue to have difficulty, you can email us at info@object-thing.com and we can attempt to place an order for you.  


I changed my mind.  Can I cancel my order?

At this time we cannot support order cancellations and we do not accept returns.  If you are placing an order please be absolutely certain that you wish to keep it, in as is condition, and that all of your shipping, billing, and credit card details are correct.


What is your shipping insurance policy?

OBJECT & THING is not responsible for UPS shipments, however all UPS orders are insured by UPS.  If your package is lost or damaged please reach out to UPS directly to open a formal claim, which you can do here.  Detailed merchandise descriptions for lost, damaged, or uncollected C.O.D. packages are needed for all UPS claims. Be as specific as possible when providing merchandise descriptions, including but not limited to, providing product name, brand name, serial numbers, size, color, and quantity. Providing a comprehensive merchandise description will help UPS to resolve your package issue as quickly and efficiently as possible.


If your item is shipped through our White Glove Art Shipping Service, your representative will be in touch with you regarding your customized and tailored shipping plans and all resulting policies.  If there is an issue with your delivery, please reach out to them.
