◄ Overview
Tron Meyer
The Foursquare Staircase
Norwegian artist and architect Tron Meyer achieves a riddling, Escher-like quality in this staircase model – reminiscent of beautifully made examples of the baroque and neoclassical period (many of which can be seen in the Cooper Hewitt). The sophisticated geometry of the design - four intersecting spirals – would allow for a highly unusual method of flow within a building, if built at full scale.
