◄ Overview
Bonnet
Table lamp
This standing ceramic lamp was made by a French ceramicist in Hyères, in the south of France. The unglazed form rests on a rectilinear tripod, almost like a painting on an easel, and is embellished with a whole range of sgraffito marks and cuts. This suggestive, abstract vocabulary has an evident relationship to surrealism - it could easily be taken for a work by the Joan Miró, or the young Isamu Noguchi.
