◄ Overview
Jeff Zimmerman
Vessel
Among the most skilled glass artists working today, Jeff Zimmerman exploits his mastery of the medium to work against its usual dynamics. He allows his blown vessels to teeter right on the edge of total collapse, twisting or crumpling them so that they develop pronounced folds. He then fixes them in that vertiginous, nearly collapsed state. Once cooled, Zimmerman adds mirroring, color, and etching to raise the surfaces to otherworldly perfection.
